Hi! I`m Skeeter. I was surrendered to Mickaboo after I got attacked by a dog - I lost part of my wing and had to have some surgery, which got pretty expensive, so Mickaboo took me in to fund and oversee my recovery. My age is a bit of a guess but we think I might be 5 or so.

Part of my wing was amputated, but I`m all healed up now and I am a real character!

I`m a smart bird - I don`t like hands but I often figure out what my foster parent wants me to do, like get in my carrier.

I love to whistle! And I love veggies - arugula, broccoli, sweet potatoes, green peas, corn, goldfish crackers(!), orzo, rice and pasta are all fine with me.

When I see other birds flying in my foster person`s house I try to fly as well, but I can`t, so I get frustrated. I`d love to live with another bird that doesn`t fly, at least that often.

I`ve made progress on being OK with hands - I used to be terrified even of my foster person changing my water dish and stuff but I`m getting used to that now and I don`t freak out as much.

I`m a morning person and I love to greet the rising sun (screeech! hellooooo sun!) so hopefully you`re a morning person too like me, right?
