Biography
I`m Tucker, a female umbrella cockatoo that hatched in 1993. I`ve only lived with one family since I was a chick. My human mom passed away about 6 years ago and my human dad has been caring for me since. Now he`s been forced to give me up because of his own health problems. I love people and step-up. My dad described me as the sweetest bird in the world. He says giving me up is like "giving up joy." I talk a bit, saying a few phases and Lucca Lucca. Lucca was a Moluccan cockatoo that I used to live with. I use my loud umbrella cockatoo call a few times a day when I want your attention. I eat Harrison`s pellets and love sugar snap peas. My human will need to be sure to only pet me above the neck to keep my hormones in check and discourage egg laying. I`ve had difficulty laying eggs in the past and needed extra calcium supplements prescribed by the board-certified avian veterinarian. If welcoming me into your life sounds like a blessing, please go to "how to adopt" on the website and fill-out an application to adopt me, Tucker!
