Everyone interested in fostering or adopting a bird must attend our class on bird care prior to receiving a bird from us. This class is free (although donations are appreciated) and is open to the general bird-loving public.
The class covers these topics:- Proper avian care
- Proper avian diet
- Symptoms of illness and first aid
- General husbandry
- Taming and training

We have basic bird care classes scheduled throughout the Bay Area in the North Bay, San Francisco/Peninsula, South Bay, East Bay, and Sacramento Area. For those who cannot attend a class in person, we occasionally schedule phone classes.
Register: To reserve your spot for a class, email class@mickaboo.org with the location of the class, and class date, in the subject line. If you want to adopt a cockatiel (for example), please say so in the email
We will take a short break halfway through the class. Please arrive 5 minutes early to allow for registration. Don't forget, free parking in the store lot!!!
